Employee Representative Committee
Western Construction Services provides its team members with an opportunity to voice issues through an employee representation committee (ERC). The primary role of the ERC is to offer ideas and feedback to the management of Western Construction Services and to bring forward the views and interests of team members on the development and implementation of work-related policies and terms and conditions of employment. The ERC also acts as an employee change advocate and serves as an internal communications channel between management and team members regarding work related issues.

About Us
Western Construction Services Inc. (WCSI) is a leading concrete restoration company specializing in structural repairs, waterproofing, and more. With a reputation for excellence, we take pride in delivering high-quality results for commercial and industrial projects.
We are looking for a Project Manager/Estimator to join our team and oversee projects from award to completion. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with strong organizational skills to manage teams, budgets, and schedules while ensuring projects are executed safely, on time, within scope and specifications, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management:
- Plan, schedule, and oversee concrete restoration projects from start to finish. Projects range in size and duration from 1-week to multi-year contracts
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and field teams to ensure smooth execution.
- Monitor job progress, budgets, and timelines to meet project goals.
- Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards and according to specifications
Estimating & Bidding:
- May be required to prepare detailed estimates for restoration projects, including materials, labor, and equipment costs.
- Review specifications, drawings, site conditions, and client requirements to create accurate bids.
- Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
Communication & Leadership:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for consultant/client, ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring efficiency and quality workmanship.
- Provide regular progress updates and reports to company leadership.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 5+ years in project management, estimating, or a related role in concrete restoration or construction.
- Education: Certified Engineering Technician (C.E.T), Professional Engineer (P.Eng), Engineer in Training (E.I.T), B.A. in Construction Management, or Diploma in Construction Management, preferred
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of concrete repair, waterproofing, and structural restoration techniques.
- Tech-Savvy: Experience with Excel, MS Project, and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot job site challenges and find cost-effective solutions.
- Leadership: Strong organizational and team management skills. Ability to manage own forces as well as coordinate subcontractors.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
