Employee Representative Committee

Western Construction Services provides its team members with an opportunity to voice issues through an employee representation committee (ERC). The primary role of the ERC is to offer ideas and feedback to the management of Western Construction Services and to bring forward the views and interests of team members on the development and implementation of work-related policies and terms and conditions of employment. The ERC also acts as an employee change advocate and serves as an internal communications channel between management and team members regarding work related issues.

Western Construction Services Inc. is growing, and we’re looking for a talented Estimator to join our team!

Who We Are
At Western Construction Services Inc., we specialize in the repair, protection, and preservation of concrete for commercial and industrial structures. Our commitment to quality and safety has made us a leader in the industry, providing responsive and cost-effective solutions to our clients.

What You’ll Do
As an Estimator, you’ll play a critical role in our operations by:

Analyze bid packages, drawings, and specifications to determine project scope
Prepare accurate estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracts
Develop strategies to secure bids and contribute to company growth
Negotiate contracts and manage project timelines and budgets
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and Project Managers
Oversee project milestones and deliverables from inception to completion

What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated professional with:

Experience: 3-5 years in industrial/commercial construction project estimating and management
Education: Degree in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist designation (preferred)
Skills: Exceptional negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Technical Proficiency: Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel, Outlook, and Word
Attributes: Team player capable of building lasting relationships and delivering results
